Talk about an odd couple! Nat is a lifelong radical who rails against injustice, real or imagined; he's also quite a spinner of fantasies, with a delightful repertoire of eccentric personas. The other half of this unlikely partnership is Midge, a black apartment super who spends his days hiding out from the building's tenants who want to force him to retire. Together Nat and Midge defy a young hoodlum trying to shake them down, take on a drug-dealing cowboy, try to save a young woman from herself, nearly outwit the president of Midge's building association, and elude Nat's daughter.
