THE OUTSIDERS
Season: 58 (2003 - 2004)
Run Date(s): Mar. 4, 2004 - Mar. 6, 2004
Description: Adapted by Christopher Sergel from the book by S.E. Hinton S.E. Hintonís powerful and compassionate book about young people is the source of this play, as it was for the film version, which has become a modern classic. The play is set in Tulsa in 1966 and deals with urban warfare between the ìGreasersî and the ìSocs.î Events are seen through the eyes of Ponyboy, a young ìGreaserî caught up in the territorial battles between the two gangs. This is a play about young people who are not yet hopeless, about latent decency in the midst of struggle, about not losing touch with the residual slivers of gold in all of us. SHOW DATES Thursday, March 4, 7:30 PM Friday, March 5, 7:30 PM Saturday, March 6, 2:00 and 7:30 PM
