Description: Adapted for the stage by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow, Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman, and lyrics by Dean Pitchford Music Direction by Darius Makaitis Choreography by Karen F. Wills Based on the highly successful 1984 film, Footloose deals with teenage rebellion and the struggle to overcome well-intentioned but misguided oppression, juxtaposed with the theme of coming to terms with loss -- a boy's loss of his father and a man's loss of his son. The play incorporates many of the hit songs from the movie (such as "Almost Paradise," "Footloose," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Free," and "Let's Hear It for the Boy") and, of course, electric, energetic dancing.
